Solved - Windows 8.1 cannot see all devices on my network

I have a PC called 'Windows' and it runs W10 home. I installed Ubuntu and samba on PC 'Ubuntu' and created a shared map.. I can ping in both directions. I see PC 'Ubuntu' from PC 'Windows' with nbtstat and both have the same workgroup name.. But I do not see PC 'Ubuntu' in my PC 'Windows' network map, even after stopping the firewall on 'Windows'. If you cannot see shares created by other computers, you may need to add reciprocal credentials to both computers. Go to Control Panel, User Accounts, Manager your credentials, and click on Windows Credentials. Now click on Add a Windows Credential.

I have now see the other computers with the firewall on.. However, Q1. Since I have dynamic IP addresses created by the router the next time we start up the computers they get . different IP addresses and the firewall seems to block them . Q2. The My Network Connections shows the range of IP addresses that the router will create already available. Can see other wireless networks but not my own - TechRepublic

I have 2 PC's and a network storage device on the wired network. I have a laptop running WIN 10 on the wireless side. The two sides do not see each other. The router is a R6220. I cannot ping the wired devices from the laptop. I have tried all the usual solutions: Access Control on the router. Network Discovery enabled.
